A woman entrepreneur said to me this week, “I’m just not having fun with my marketing.”
And I get it. So many women entrepreneurs start their businesses with passion and purpose—only to feel weighed down by the have-to’s of marketing. The posts, the emails, the strategy… it can start to feel like a chore.
But here’s the thing: Marketing is the bridge between your soul’s work and the people who need it most. If it’s feeling heavy, maybe it’s not the marketing itself—it’s the energy we’re bringing to it.
When I sit down to work on my brand or map out an upcoming marketing plan—whether it’s for Ignite, a new website, or an online event—I make it an experience. I bring love into it. I turn on good, high-vibe music (I’m listening to Tyler Childers right now—Boombox is another go-to when I need a creative boost). I set up my space like it’s sacred. Because it is.
And as I do, I imagine sitting across from one of my favorite clients, having a real conversation. I think about what she’s excited about, what she’s working toward, and what’s keeping her up at night. I ask myself—what does she need to hear today? How can I speak straight to her heart?
This is an act of connection, an invitation into something bigger.
The Energy of Invitation
Marketing isn’t about “getting” clients. It’s about inviting them into a space where they feel seen, understood, and excited to take a step forward.
The way you show up matters. If your marketing feels transactional or like a task to check off—people will feel that. But if you show up with genuine care, curiosity, and love for the people you want to serve? That’s magnetic.
Think about the last time you read a post, listened to a podcast, or received an email that truly spoke to you. Chances are, it wasn’t just the message—it was the energy behind it. You could feel the care and intention in the words.
Bringing Love & Care into Your Marketing
So, how do we shift the way we show up in our marketing? Here’s what I’ve learned:
- Market with love. Write your posts, emails, and invitations like you’re speaking to someone you deeply care about—because you are.
- Make it a conversation. Marketing isn’t shouting into the void. It’s opening a door and saying, Come in, let’s talk.
- Create experiences, not just content. Think about how people feel when they engage with your brand. Are you giving them a moment of inspiration, clarity, or possibility?
- Trust that connection leads to conversion. When people feel seen and heard, they naturally want to be in your world. You don’t have to force it.
- Curate your creative space. The energy of your marketing starts with where you’re creating it. Is your workspace inspiring? Does music help set the mood? Do you have a candle, a vision board, or something else that sparks your creativity? If your space feels dull, your marketing will too.
How You Show Up Changes Everything
Marketing isn’t just about what you say. It’s about who you are while you’re saying it.

When I prepare for Ignite or launch something new, I don’t just focus on logistics—I focus on the energy I’m bringing into it. Am I rushing to “fill spots,” or am I genuinely excited to welcome the right people in? A common term in the event industry is to put “butts in seats.” I have never used that term. I say “souls in seats.” That shift makes all the difference.
So, the next time you sit down to write a post, send an email, or invite someone into your work—pause. Bring in the energy you’d give to a dear friend. Show up fully. Speak from your heart.
That’s what draws people in. That’s what creates impact. If your marketing isn’t bringing in the right clients—or it just doesn’t feel good—I invite you to apply for a Prosperity Audit.
