Your Capacity Lives in the Body

This morning, during my meditation on Insight Timer with one of my favorite teachers, “Everything is Energy,” I heard a line that lit something up in me: “Move at a pace your system can hold.”

Afterward, I journaled on this line for a while. I pondered on how the fire we carry needs capacity to burn. When our system is resourced, ideas spark, voice expands, and legacy begins to shape itself through us. Leadership asks for capacity, and capacity lives in the body.

Over the past year, so many women I’ve spoken with have been in the quiet. Listening inward. Integrating. Gathering energy. That season has held meaning. It shaped clarity. It strengthened resolve. It allowed the next chapter to root.

And now I’m sensing movement again. Ideas are taking shape. Direction is becoming clearer. I’m seeing women I deeply admire stepping forward after a quieter season. Yes, I see you, my friends. You each know who you are.

Women who have been listening, gathering, and tending the inner work. Their voices are resurfacing with a kind of honesty and conviction that feels refreshing and deeply alive. Their fire is showing itself in how they speak, what they choose to create, and how they are deciding to lead.

It feels like a collective ignition. A shift from rooting to rooted rising. A season where expression wants room to stretch, where bold ideas are ready for daylight, and where women are choosing to move toward the work that feels true for them.

A well-tended nervous system becomes the fuel for this kind of movement. It engages our fire and gives us the capacity to stretch into our most important work. It lets us hold visibility, impact, and influence without collapsing under the weight of it. This is how women grow into the level of leadership they’ve been quietly preparing for… the kind that shapes culture, elevates conversation, and drives meaningful change.

And yet I’m noticing something else emerging in parallel. For many women, the tending of the nervous system has become a sanctuary, a place for restoration, reflection, and return-to-self. That work matters. It’s been central to our healing and to the reclamation of our power. And at the same time, peace alone cannot hold the fullness of our leadership.

The nervous system was never meant to keep us hidden; it was meant to give us capacity. Capacity for movement, for visibility, for influence, for fire. This is the both/and of this moment… inner steadiness and outward leadership, grounded presence and public voice, regulated systems and rising impact.

When we honor movement at the pace our system can hold, something powerful happens. Our nervous system becomes an ally in our leadership, a steadying force that lets us step forward without splintering our energy. Legacy takes shape from this place because it’s anchored in grounded conviction rather than performance.

This is the season for women to move from steadiness into leadership.

The pause served its purpose. Movement has arrived with intention and clarity. And I suspect the second half of this year will reveal what our fire has been preparing us for.

If you’re feeling this ignition in your work and leadership, I’d love to walk beside you as you step into a bigger season of visibility and impact. This year I’m supporting women who are ready for that both/and — grounded nervous systems and bold leadership, presence and potency, vision and movement.

Let’s explore what that looks like for you.
