In July, I said goodbye to the soul of my herd, Destiny Dancer, my lead mare, my teacher, my heart horse.
She entered this world 26 years and 24 days before she left it. I was there just hours after she was born and she slept in my lap on her very first day. And she stayed with me, walking beside me in life and in business every step of the way.
If you’ve attended one of my Equine Vision Journey retreats over the past 15 years, you know the light Destiny brought into our world. And if you did… you remember.
You remember the brightness in her eyes that saw right through you. You remember the strength she shared so generously—steady, unwavering. You remember the calm that settled in your chest when she simply stood near you. And you remember the insight she offered—not with words, but with presence.
Clients have called her:

- “A master healer.”
- “An angel in a horse body.”
- “A wise, gentle, powerful soul.”
- “The one who brought me comfort in my deepest grief.”
- “My breakthrough moment.”
She led the herd, yes, but she also led humans into their hearts. Her legacy lives on in the hundreds of women she touched—those who took bolder steps, cried into her mane, or simply sat in her stillness and found clarity.
Destiny taught me to lead with presence, to listen with more than ears, and to trust the sacred timing of all things.
So when it came time to lead my first retreat without her… I felt the weight of her absence.
I’ll be honest, after 15 years of having her by my side in retreats—I was nervous.
Would the experience still feel as sacred?
Would the new herd dynamic hold space in the way Destiny always had?
And then I remembered.
Trust.
Trust that each horse brings their own unique medicine.
Trust that I don’t need to fill her shoes with someone else’s hooves.
Trust that this work has always been about what is, not what was.
Sugaree, my longtime herd member, showed up with her familiar quiet grace—her deeply feminine wisdom gently holding the circle.
Thor, our newest herd member who joined us last November, stepped into the arena for the very first time.
And wow.
All 16.3 hands of his massive, grounded presence brought strength, protection, and astonishing gentleness. He was made for this.
Together, Sugaree and Thor danced in the balance of masculine and feminine energies. They held the container beautifully as our circle of extraordinary women released old stories, reconnected with their inner wisdom, and opened wide to new possibilities.
The messages that came through were profound.
The breakthroughs were real.
And the spirit of Destiny was very much there—woven into the fabric of the weekend, like she always has been.
What I remembered that day—and what I want to pass on to you:

1. The horses always know.
Every time I lead an Equine Vision Journey, I’m reminded: we don’t need to force a breakthrough. We don’t need to push for insight. The horses bring forward exactly what’s needed—at the right moment, in the right way. It’s not about controlling the outcome. It’s about creating space for wisdom to rise.
As women entrepreneurs, this is our invitation: to stop gripping so tightly. To trust the process. To remember that when we show up with intention and presence, the clarity will come. The insight will land. The path will reveal itself.
2. Honor the essence of who someone is—not who you expect them to be.
This one was important. I had to let go of expecting Sugaree or Thor to be Destiny. They aren’t. They never will be. And that’s the beauty.
How often do we carry unconscious expectations—of our clients, our team, ourselves? Trying to recreate something that worked before. Hoping someone will show up exactly as we imagined.
But the real magic happens when we meet people (and ourselves) in the truth of the moment. When we let go of comparison and projection—and witness the brilliance that’s already there.
Your clients don’t need you to be someone else. They need you to be you. Fully, unapologetically. That’s what builds trust. That’s what changes lives.
3. Love doesn’t leave. Legacy lives on.
As I watched Sugaree and Thor guide the circle, I could feel Destiny’s presence. Not in a mystical way—but in the lineage of what she helped create. The space. The energy. The depth.
Even in her physical absence, her essence was right there.
This reminded me: when we pour love, intention, and service into our work—it lives on. Our influence ripples. Our legacy grows.
Whether you’re building a business, writing a book, leading a movement, or changing one life at a time… your presence leaves an imprint. Don’t underestimate that.
Destiny’s impact is woven into every Equine Vision Journey I lead. Just like your own magic is woven into every touchpoint of your business.
Two magical days.
Bold visions.
Beautiful breakthroughs.
I am honored to walk this path.
And grateful to keep saying yes to the call.
RIP, my beautiful Destiny.
You were my heart horse, my guide, and the soul of this sacred work.
Your light lives on—in me, in every woman you ever touched, and in the quiet power of Sugaree and Thor, who now carry your legacy forward.
May we all remember what you taught us:
Presence over pressure.
Listening over noise.
Truth over performance.
And trust… always trust.
Thank you for walking beside me for 26 extraordinary years.
You’ll always be here—woven into the wind, the land, and the sacred stillness of the arena.
