Stop Undercharging: The Feminine Way to Honor Your Worth and Build Wealth

One of the conversations I love having with my clients is about money, not just the numbers, but the energy behind how we show up in our relationship with it.

Why do so many brilliant, visionary women undercharge for their work? These are women creating transformation in lives and businesses, guiding breakthroughs, and leading change in their industries. They have deep levels of experience and wisdom. The impact they make is profound, yet their pricing sometimes does not reflect the true value of that work.

And why is there so much judgment attached? Judgment of ourselves when we raise our rates and judgment of others for what they charge. It is a dynamic men rarely experience, yet it shows up for women all the time.

This runs deeper than pricing. It is about old stories, cultural conditioning, and the beliefs that swirl around women and money. Those beliefs keep us from stepping into the fullness of our worth and owning the value we bring to the table.

It is time to shift that energy.

Money Is Energy, And So Are You

Let’s start with something that changes everything: money is energy. I have been teaching this for years because I learned it through my own money stories. In the 15-plus years I have been an entrepreneur, I have done a lot of money mindset work, and here is what I know: it never completely goes away. The relationship with money is something we keep deepening as we grow.

I often compare the energy of money to water. Water moves with ease. It follows soft lines and curves. It adapts, and in that softness, there is incredible strength. When I work with the energy of money in this way, it changes everything for me. It shifts me out of chasing and into trusting, creating space for money to flow toward my mission.

Recently, I heard Sandra Yancey, founder of eWomen Network, share something that added a beautiful layer to this conversation. She said, “The energy of money is feminine.” Interesting, right?

Feminine energy is magnetic, creative, and expansive. It does not chase, it invites. It does not force, it nurtures. When you align with that truth, money stops being something to hunt or hoard and becomes something you co-create with.

As Sandra also says, “Because money isn’t the mission. Your mission is the mission.” That lands deeply, doesn’t it? If you have ever felt drained by chasing revenue or obsessing over the next dollar milestone, you know that energy does not serve you. But when you center on your mission and impact, everything shifts. Your energy becomes expansive. Your presence becomes magnetic.

Money loves that energy. Money wants to be in motion. It wants to be of service to impact and legacy. It flows when it has a home… when your pricing, your business model, and your mindset are aligned to receive it.

The Judgment We Need to Release

While we are talking about energy and mission, there is a practical reality many women face: judgment.

When women speak up for their worth or raise their prices, the reaction often comes with side comments, skepticism, or outright criticism. We see it in ourselves too, questioning if we are “too expensive” or comparing our pricing to someone else’s.

This judgment, from others and sometimes from ourselves, is a relic of old systems. And it is costing us. Because undercharging does not just hurt your income. It limits your impact. It keeps you hustling harder for less return, which is the opposite of why you started your business.

When we price too low, we dilute the very thing that makes our work powerful. We attract misaligned clients. We stretch ourselves thin. We create businesses that feel heavy instead of businesses that feel like a joyful expression of our gifts.

The truth? Owning your value is not selfish. It is service. Because when you are resourced, you can sustain your work, amplify your message, and create a ripple effect that changes lives.

Money as a Partner: Practical and Energetic Alignment

Here is the both-and that shifts everything: money is energy, and money is math.

This is not about posting affirmations and hoping the money shows up, although mindset matters. It is about creating a structure that reflects the value you deliver. Here is how:

1. Audit Your Numbers
Know what it truly costs to run your business profitably. If you are guessing, you are likely undercharging.

2. Price for Profit, Not Survival
Build in room for growth, support, and your future vision. Charging “just enough” keeps you stuck in scarcity.

3. Anchor in Results, Not Hours
Clients are not buying your time. They are investing in outcomes. Speak to the results you create and the transformation you deliver.

When your pricing is grounded in strategy and infused with aligned energy, you are not hustling for scraps. You are building a business that sustains you and expands your impact.

The Practice of Receiving

This is not just about what you charge. It is about what you are willing to receive. Too often, we hold limiting stories like:

  • “I only need enough to get by.”
  • “I love what I do, so I do not need to earn more.”

Those stories shrink your capacity for abundance. They create a ceiling where there should be none.

Receiving is a practice. It is learning to expand your energy, express gratitude, and trust that money flowing to you is not just okay, it is necessary for the work you are here to do. Start with small daily practices:

  • Celebrate every dollar that comes in.
  • Speak affirmations that expand your receiving muscle: “I am open to creative possibilities for abundance in my business and life.”
  • Ask for what you desire, boldly and unapologetically.

What About Markets Like We’re In Right Now?

When the market feels uncertain, the first instinct many entrepreneurs have is to lower prices or play small. But here’s what I know from experience: I started my business in the downturn of 2008, and it grew. My business thrived again in 2020 when the world was full of uncertainty. Why? Because people still invest in what they believe will deliver real value.

I see the same thing happening now. Many premium services are thriving because clients are more intentional than ever about where they invest. They are not looking for “cheap.” They are looking for trusted guides, meaningful results, and a clear return on their investment. They want confidence and clarity in uncertain times, and they will pay for that.

This is not the time to shrink your prices. It is the time to lean deeper into your mission, your expertise, and your presence. When you align your energy and clearly communicate the impact of your work, you become magnetic to the right clients, even in shifting markets. They are not buying the cheapest option; they are buying the outcomes they desire.

Energy + Mission + Money: Where It All Comes Together

Here is what I know: when women honor their worth, lead with mission, and align their energy, they change everything. They build businesses that sustain their lives, fuel their impact, and model a new paradigm for success, one rooted in both prosperity and purpose.

Because money is not the mission. Your mission is the mission. And when your value, energy, and mission meet, money flows as your ally, not your adversary.

A Call to Every Woman Reading This

Stop undercharging. Stop apologizing. Start owning the full brilliance of what you bring to the world. When you do, you are not just raising your income. You are raising the bar for what is possible for every woman who comes after you.

The world needs your work. It needs your voice. And it needs you resourced and ready to lead.

Here are a few ways to lead this shift:

  • Own your worth unapologetically. Price your services in alignment with the value you deliver and the impact you create.
  • Uplift women who are charging their worth. Celebrate them. Support them. Remove judgment from the conversation.
  • Speak openly about money. The more we normalize the conversation, the more we dismantle the old narratives that keep women small.
  • Lead with mission and confidence. When you hold your mission at the center, your energy becomes magnetic, even in uncertain times.
  • Practice receiving. Expand your capacity to welcome abundance, not as a luxury, but as a necessity for the work you are called to do.

Are you tuned in to the frequency of wealth?
