In a world where conversations shape the future, staying at the table—and ensuring our voices are heard—has never been more critical. Recent comments, like Mark Zuckerberg’s statement about companies needing “more male energy,” may stir frustration, even outrage (yes, that was my reaction), but they also serve as a powerful reminder: now is the time for women to unify, amplify, and stay engaged.
For a moment, I found myself questioning if stepping away from platforms like Facebook, where my Extraordinary Women Connect Community thrives, was the right answer. But here’s what I’ve realized: our voices matter most in the spaces that often challenge us. If we leave the table, who fills that void? Certainly not those committed to more conscious leadership, collaboration, or fostering environments where diverse voices rise together.
We’re being called to stay, to lead, and to lift—not just ourselves but those around us. My clients, many of whom are creating transformative change in corporations and entrepreneurial spaces, are the perfect examples of why staying matters. They’re fostering conscious leadership, partnering with male and female leaders to build more equitable, innovative workplaces, and paving the way for more feminine energy to shape the future of business.
Staying at the table doesn’t mean complacency. It’s about influence. It’s about using our voices to shape the conversations that matter. When we step into bold visibility and amplify our voices, we stand out as go-to leaders in our fields. This not only differentiates us from the noise but also creates a magnetic pull for aligned opportunities and clients. Our leadership becomes a beacon, attracting growth and success to our businesses while inspiring others to do the same.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus shared something powerful on her podcast Wiser Than Me recently that deeply resonated with me. She talked about the impact of all-women’s colleges, where women are surrounded by female peers who embolden one another to take risks, amplify their voices, and step into their full potential.
Now, I didn’t go to an all-woman college, nor did I want to. Heck, I went to an all girls basketball camp in high school and the only award I got was “The Official Champions of the Full Court Flirt,” (there was a boys’ basketball team across campus), along with my partner in crime, my BFF Jamie. In addition to the award, we both walked aways with dates. Okay, so I digress.
But that insight from Julia Louis-Dreyfus stuck with me—it’s a reflection of what happens when women gather, support each other, and create spaces where boldness and confidence flourish. It’s also a call to action for us to foster these environments not just in schools, but in boardrooms, communities, and everywhere decisions are being made.
So how do we stay at the table as women entrepreneurs and ensure our platforms and teachings bring good into the world?

- We speak up: Use every opportunity to share our vision, ideas, and perspectives. Whether it’s through public speaking, podcasting, writing, or social media, we ensure our message reaches those who need it most. Silence doesn’t serve us or the greater good.
- We lead with purpose: Align our businesses and teachings with the values we want to see reflected in the world. As conscious leaders, we model what’s possible—building businesses that create positive change while thriving financially.
- We expand visibility: Leverage platforms to shine a light on important issues and elevate the voices of others. Whether through mentoring, collaborating, or sharing resources, we create ripples of influence that extend far beyond our immediate circles.
- We create impact: Use our businesses and platforms as vehicles for good. From fostering inclusivity to championing sustainability, we lead by example, showing that entrepreneurship can be a force for meaningful transformation.
