For the first time in many years, I don’t have a word of the year. At least not yet. I may land on one later, or I may not land on one at all, and I’m genuinely okay with that. I know where my focus is. I’m clear on the key initiatives I’m taking on. What feels different this year is that I’m tuning less into a label and more into an energetic presence I’m choosing to hold day-by-day.
I’m paying attention to how I want to move through my days. I’m letting the good unfold around me. I’m serving my clients with intention and care. I’m reconnecting with what’s around me rather than racing toward what’s next.
There is momentum here, and I feel it clearly. It gathered real force in the final months of 2025, bringing a deeper alignment to work I have been steadily building for a long time, and it’s carrying forward into this new year with a sense of expansion, alertness, and possibility.
At the same time, I’m noticing something that mirrors my own experience in conversations with other women entrepreneurs. Many are entering 2026 at a different pace. There’s less pressure to rush into declarations (who even does those anymore?); and more openness to listening. They’re noticing where their energy flows naturally, where their work feels alive again, and where something inside them is asking for a more honest expression.
Alongside this momentum, there is also a deeper calling many women are feeling. It shows up as a quiet knowing rather than a loud demand. A sense that something is ready to be expressed more fully. A recognition that the way they’ve been leading, serving, or showing up no longer tells the whole truth of who they are or what their work is capable of now.
In the women I’m in community with, this knowing is accompanied by a meaningful commitment to themselves. Not a public declaration, but an internal one. A commitment to stop postponing their voice. A commitment to be present in their leadership rather than standing just outside the edges of it. A commitment to allow their work to be seen and felt in a way that reflects the depth of their experience and the values they hold.
This is where the idea of Rooted Flame lives. It’s the place where inner alignment shapes outer expression. When a woman is rooted in what she knows, what she values, and how she is called to serve, her voice carries more authority. Her presence becomes steadier and more grounded. Visibility stops feeling like something to manage and begins to feel like a natural extension of leadership.
Voice and visibility, from this place, are no longer tactics. They become expressions of truth.
A rooted flame doesn’t need to shout, but it does illuminate. It draws the right people forward. It creates resonance. I see this so clearly in the women I’ve worked with over the years. Women who have claimed their message, stepped into larger platforms, refined how they show up, and allowed their work to be visible in ways that match the depth of who they are. Watching them lead from this place continues to be one of the greatest privileges of my work.
As I look ahead, I feel a deep sense of excitement for the women stepping into this year’s Movement Maker Mastermind. These are women who are ready to claim their voice, elevate their presence, and shape businesses that reflect both their mission and their lives. They’re not here to follow outdated models. They’re here to lead with intention, integrity, and impact.
