Today, I’m thrilled to get to interview my favorite artist, Carrie Fell on Extraordinary Women Radio! I love, love, love her and and her work! You’ll love her great wisdom that she shares on engaging your creativity, on following your dreams, on stepping into your cowgirl courage!
We talk about the importance of getting into the flow in our life – both going up stream and down stream – and where we can often find the magic in the contrast! As Carrie says, “This is where the essence is – in the work!” Carrie shares her secrets about playing with our inner critic and how to tame her!
Carrie’s artwork depicts the traditional icons of the Western landscape with a thoroughly modern twist using vibrant colors and fluid forms. Her work is free spirited – her paintings and designs offer a sophisticated, yet fresh, style that appeals to the maverick within each of us – and certainly within me!
Her work is the New West – her work is the west as a “state of mind” – a place of change with an attitude of boldness. So you can see why she belongs here on Extraordinary Women Radio…
- Her work has been acquired to be part of the permanent collection at the Booth Western Art Museum in Cartersville, Georgia and the Desert Caballeros Western Museum in Wickenburg
- In 2015, Carrie was selected as the Official Artist for the FIS Downhill Alpine World Ski Championships held in Colorado – where she created a collection of colorful, bold skier images which were displayed and utilized to market the entire event and resulted in a monumental installation at the base of Beaver Creek, CO.
Her work has been shared around the world, and graces several walls of my own house. Let’s meet Carrie Fell! For more about Carrie visit her website at http://carriefellgallery.com/.
